Über Aemilius Macer. - DAHLMANN, H.,

KORTE INHOUD

'Dahlmann continues the useful exercise of tidying up the fragmentary remains of late Republican Latin poetry. In his latest contribution he argues that only frr. 1-4 (Morel) come from Macer's 'Ornithogonia' and that the rest, except for fr. 14., belong to the 'Theriaca'. In establishing these attributions ingenious use is made of Ovid and Lucan.' (E.J. KENNEY in The Classical Review (New Series), 1982, p.277). From the library of the late Professor Doktor Nikolaus Himmelmann.
