KORTE INHOUD

The Munch Museum’s 1894 version of “Puberty” has not been shown to the public for more than ten years due to need of conservation. This experimental painting was done by Edvard Munch on unprimed canvas which made it more and more fragile over the years. The painting has over the past years undergone extensive conservation, and the finalizing of this gave the idea of an exhibition and the first solemn publication with articles on this important work of Munch.
