Carthage. - WARMINGTON, B.H.,

KORTE INHOUD

Preface to the Second Edition: 'Some important archaeological work has been done on Phoenician and Carthaginian sites since the first edition of this book. I have taken the opportunity of a fully revised edition both to rewrite and expand the passages (chiefly in chapters 1, 2 and 6) where new material has made this desirable, and to increase substantially the number of illustrations. This edition also incorporates the minor revisions and the references to the sources which were included in the Pelican edition (1964). An additional bibliography with references to a number of recent publications, primarily of archaeological excavations, has been added.' From the library of the late Sir Kenneth James Dover.
