I am so glad also that you have allowed metre to have its way. It is really needed, and without it, or with only adumbrations of it, one wonders where one is. The songs are most enjoyable ? lively and, as Gilbert Murray used to say, ?irresistibly songful.? Rhyme is a great help with this kind of song ? and you have used it with delightful effect.'
