THE PREVENTION AND SECURITY POLICIES IN - Patrick Hebberecht

KORTE INHOUD

In the nineties the prevention policy of the eighties has become a part of an increasingly repressive security policy. In the context of a new relationship between the state and the citizens private security agencies are playing a more important role. The prevention and security policies in Europe appear to be more and more a new model for crime control. The contributions for this book are written by sociologists, criminologists, lawyers and political scientists. They concern seven European countries: France, Belgium, England and Wales, Germany, Spain, Portugal and Greece. These contributions were discussed at a seminar of the 'European Group of Research into Norms' (France).
