collected chiefly from oral tradition

KORTE INHOUD

'The Nursery Rhymes of England' served as the basis for nursery rhyme collections for over a century, being the first and probably the only attempt to be comprehensive until the Opie's publication in 1951. Halliwell's collection. Many people working in the field have heard of Halliwell, few have seen his books.
