The biography of a popular German Jewish singer. Although Goebbels admired him and is said to have offered to make him an "honorary Aryan", he left Germany in 1933. During the war he was stranded in southern France; in danger of being deported, he fled illegally over the Swiss border but died soon thereafter from the hardships of a Swiss internment camp.
