Candida Höfer - Mortier Gérard
Paris Opera. Photographs
KORTE INHOUD
In her most recent cycle, Candida H?fer captures two Paris opera houses: the neoclassicist Palais Garnier (1875), original "Phantom of the Opera" site, and the modern-style Op?ra Bastille (1989). Devoid of people, as usual, foyers, orchestras, stages, wings, and boxes evoke the stories, the music, the performers and the audience during a night at the opera.
