KORTE INHOUD
Paul C?zanne (1839-1906) is probably, more than any other painter in the history of art, a painter's painter or a painter for those who particularly love painting. From Gauguin to Picasso, Matisse to Paul Klee, Braque to Kandinsky or Marcel Duchamp to Jasper Johns, all looked to C?zanne, as he was not just 'the father of all' (Picasso) or 'the master par excellence' (Klee), but a spiritual model who was the very incarnation of the solitary artist who restored, through forms, 'a soul' to painting (Kandisky).
